What are the Standards

Ohio has laws that tend to mirror federal regulations regarding size.

i. Nothing wider than 8ft. 6in.

ii. Nothing taller than 13ft. 6. In

iii. No single trailer longer than 53ft.

iv. No double trailers longer than 23ft 6in each

Ohio is under a 2 tier standard for maximum weight : Ohio weights and Federal weights

i. Both of these weights are based on relatively the same thing; overall length and number of axles on the vehicle. There are formulas to figure the maximum weight allowed, then there is permit weights, which exceed allowed weight.
